19th Annual Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show Comes to Shepherdsville

Derby City Fly Fishers is excited to welcome anglers of all skill levels to the 19th Annual Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show, happening Saturday, January 17th, at the Paroquet Springs Conference Center in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The show runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and promises a full day dedicated to education, conservation, and the art of fly fishing.

A Full Day of Fly Fishing Education & Fun

The Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show is built around one core mission: educating and inspiring people about fly fishing. Attendees can enjoy presentations from experienced speakers, hands-on demonstrations, and opportunities to learn directly from seasoned anglers and instructors.

For those interested in improving their skills, fly-casting instruction will be available throughout the day. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or a longtime fly fisher looking to refine your technique, there’s something here for everyone.

Vendors, Guides, and Exhibitors

With 40+ vendors, exhibitors, and fishing guide services on site, the show offers a unique opportunity to explore new gear, learn about guided trips, and connect with experts from across the region. Attendees will also have the chance to win unique prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day.

Kids Corner & Fly Tying Demonstrations

Families are encouraged to attend! The popular Kids Corner gives children the chance to tie their own fly and take it home. All fly-tying materials and tools are provided, making it a fun and educational hands-on experience.

In addition, several fly-fishing clubs and talented fly tiers will be demonstrating the art of fly tying throughout the show, offering inspiration and insight for anglers of all ages.

Conservation Matters

Conservation plays an important role at the Kentuckiana Fly Fishing Show. Representatives from Kentucky Fish and Wildlife will be present to share information and promote conservation efforts within the state.

Admission & Special Raffle

  • Admission: $10

  • Free entry: Active-duty military and children 17 and under

Derby City Fly Fishers will also be raffling off a 2022 14-foot Jon Boat, complete with:

  • Single-axle trailer

  • New boat cover

  • New trolling motor

This raffle makes the event even more special and supports the club’s ongoing efforts.
